Caring for the Mastiff Breed

The Mastiff breed is one of the biggest types of dogs that roam the continent. This dog has an enormous head, with huge jaws.  This breed of dog is the most loyal dog to their family when they are adopted. This dog is also an excellent dog to bring in public as it is very sociable.

History

The Mastiff breed is one of the breeds that have been around the longest of all dogs. They have been seen in the B.C. era and they originated in the Egyptian realm before moving to more British ways. This dog is a fierce protector and has been used as such throughout the centuries. These tough and powerful dogs were also used in arena fighting as well as fights among other wildlife creatures in the forests.

Care Manual

The Mastiff breed is a dog that stands out of the crowd. This dog is intensely loyal to the ones they love. The Mastiff is not afraid to be a protector of the house hold when left in charge to guard the home. These dogs are also excellent around small kids, even though the size may intimidate the children. Once they warm up to the dog, they will be the best of friends. This breed drools a lot and would be wise to towel off their mouths every once in a while, so it wont get all over the house or car. Their coat is very short and manageable and would do well with a weekly bathing session.
