posted by adminThe Munsterlander breeds of dogs had originated from their name Munsterland, which is in Europe. There are two breeds of Munsterlander dogs, a large breed and a small one. These dogs are used when their owners go out hunting ducks or small game.
Caring For Their Dog
The Munsterlander dog breeds are quite easy to care for. They are relatively low maintenance and do not require many accessories. These breeds are enthusiastic when they see their owners, and they are very intelligent dogs. Munsterlander dogs can be bathed once a week, and brushed every other day since they have longer hair on their bellies than their backs. Since they have long, floppy ears, they should be washed with dog ear wash at least once a week to prevent ear infections and bacteria from forming. This breed of dog has a calm demeanor even though it is very active in the fields. The Munsterlander breed is also very good with kids and the elderly. They are also easy dogs to train.
Sporting Dog
The Munsterlander dog is used specifically in hunting with guns. The dogs are not gun shy and they stand right next to their master until directed to catch the prey that their owner was hunting. These dogs are very agile and have a lot of grace and speed when running. These dogs also know when to relax and take in the scenes for a long period of time while hunting or riding in a boat.
